A young persons guide to become a PHanatic ;-)
(all this is VERY ironic and does not mean, that I tell you to steal copyrighted material!!!):

General:

Record a PH show! (Exotic places with a small audience helps - PH playing in Tibet in front of 4 listeners would be perfect!)

Record it in good quality! (Don't clap with the microphone in your hands, don't stand too near to the bar, don't take your most talkative or singative friend to the concert, don't sing along yourself, too, don't think 'well - there's enough space on the tape for the next song' - because there isn't!). Don't ever trust the printing on a tape!!!! I used a C120 tape at Darmstadt 2003... The tape ran out after 45 minutes instead of after 60 minutes!!!!

Burn it on CD(s)! (The chances to trade reel-to-reel-tapes are low! Burn your copies with a maximum speed of 2*, copy them on a defragmented harddisk first, do everything to ensure that you make good copies!)

Spent some time to make some nice artworks! (Not too necessary, although it helps! "They sound better with artworks" says Ilan! Don't write 'Childlike Face', 'Peter Hamil'...! Use recent photos - some of the same show will be best!)

Print the artworks in the best quality you can do! (Or burn the artworks on an additional CDR or e-mail them!)

Get in contact with other maniacs! (Via the newsgroups, napster and the others, your own web-page. You will not find other traders if you don't tell them, what you've got!)

Be fair! Be true! Be reliable! (Be fast too!)

Make agreements with other traders! (Trade only things, that your partner hasn't got too! - Both collections will explode!)

Send letters via airmail! (Small packets or parcels via ship kills the nerves of your partners! At least in Germany you have not to attach those green customs stickers on letters at all, that speeds up delivery too!)

Advantages:

You get in contact with fine persons! (Very fine persons from all over the world! I've contact with persons from Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungaria, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Swizzerland, USA... I hope I've forgot nobody! They are all fine maniacs and PHans.
